I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but I just can't help pick up or click on a book with an amazing front. Each week I'll tell you about the books I've added to my TBR shelf just because of their cover. This weeks it's The rise of Peter Troy (Vol. 1 The Decayed Ones) By Joseph DiBartolo. How did I not find this cover and book before now? One man armed with a butchers clever facing off against a horde of zombies. |
Life has always been an uphill battle for Peter Troy. His obsession for zombie films was the only thing that kept him company when times got tough. After losing his job as a butcher at the local market and getting dumped by his girlfriend, all in the same day, Peter tried to close himself off from the world. His efforts were thwarted when his obsession actually became a reality. Follow Peter on his journey to redemption as he struggles with his mixed feelings of excitement and regret. Will he be able to adapt and excel in a world now being overrun by the living dead? Or will he fail to succeed as he did when the world was normal?

Happy Tuesday and welcome to my Trailer and Teaser Talk, not only am I a massive fan of books but I'm also a huge fan of movies. Each week I'll post a trailer of a movie that I'm dying to watch. Dwayne Johnson stars as Hercules, based on the graphic novel Hercules: The Tracian Wars it is set for release on the 25th of July. Having completed his legendary twelve labors, Hercules (Johnson), the Greek demigod, has his life as a sword-for-hire tested when the King of Thrace and his daughter seek his aid in defeating a tyrannical warlord. Every Monday I'll be sharing with you the books I've come across that really make me want to read. If you've read them, then tell me what you think, should I read or should I avoid? This week it's Dark inside #1 by Jeyn Roberts. Dark Inside (Dark Inside #1) by Jeyn Roberts Since the beginning of mankind, civilizations have fallen: the Romans, the Greeks, the Aztecs...and now us. Huge earthquakes rock the world. Cities are destroyed. But something even more awful is happening: An ancient evil has been unleashed, and it's turning everyday people into hunters, killers, and crazies. This is the world Mason, Aries, Clementine, and Michael are living in--or rather, trying to survive. Each is fleeing unspeakable horror, from murderous chaos to brutal natural disasters, and each is traveling the same road in a world gone mad. Amid the throes of the apocalypse and clinging to love and meaning wherever it can be found, these four teens are on a journey into the heart of darkness--and to find each other and a place of safety.
There are some far-fetched rumours about the caverns beneath the Citadel…
Some say the mages left their most dangerous secrets hidden there; others, that great riches are hidden there; even that gods have been imprisoned in its darkest depths. For Lord Frith, the caverns hold the key to his vengeance. Against all the odds, he has survived torture and lived to see his home and his family taken from him … and now someone is going to pay. For Wydrin of Crosshaven and her faithful companion, Sir Sebastian Caverson, a quest to the Citadel looks like just another job. There’s the promise of gold and adventure. Who knows, they might even have a decent tale or two once they’re done. But sometimes there is truth in rumour. Soon this reckless trio will be the last line of defence against a hungry, restless terror that wants to tear the world apart. And they’re not even getting paid.
